Fattoria di Rodano, Viacosta Riserva 2019

With the farm dating back to medieval times and vineyard being in the family since the 1700s, Fattoria di Rodano is firmly nestled in the heart of Italy's hilly Castellina region. Known for making incredibly soulful Chianto Classico, their Viacosta 2019 is no different. Using 100% Sangiovese Grosso (the same grape used in the world-famous Brunello di Montalcino wines), Viacosta 2019 has heady, complex aromas of cherry, fresh raspberry, leather and oregano. Being a Riserva, it's been aged for two years in oak and two in bottle prior to release; the wine is beautifully elegant and taken on flavours of tobacco and dark chocolate too. A very smooth, supple and authentic Chianti Classico.
